A staggering batch of 22 confirmations for this year's edition of Download were announced yesterday, along with the start of day ticket sales, priced at £75.

  2. Update May 4, 2010: 12 more bands added to the Download line-up

    This week brings a new batch of confirmations for this year's edition of the UK's Download Festival, containing psychedelic blues-rockers The Virginmarys, hardcore punkers The Plight, edgy crossover kids Rolo Tomassi, as well as Kadawatha, Sonic Syndicate, Jim Jones Revue and Switchfoot.

    After The Used had to cancel last week due to unforeseen circumstances, their place on Sunday's second stage will be taken by Napalm Death.

    The other bands announced are 3 Inches Of Blood, Your Demise, TAB and Urban Voodoo Machine.
