The Fused Festival, promoted by the Classic Rock Society and the Summers End Festival, takes place at Lydney Town Hall, Gloucestershire on April 1st, 2nd and 3rd 2011
The Fused Festival announced that the legendary German Progressive Metallers Vanden Plas will headline the Friday, 1st of April evening session. Signed to Frontiers records, the band has recently released their sixth full length album, Seraphic Clockwork. Festival organiser Huw Lloyd Jones says:
I’ve been a fan of the band since the 90s, and it’s a genuine thrill to be able to bring them to the UK for a rare British performance.
There were also three other additions to the line up:
Day Six is a Dutch prog metal band very much on the rise, having just released their latest album, The Grand Design on Lion Records. Once again, a very rare UK outing for this band.
British female fronted Symphonic metal band Winter In Eden have already won huge praise for their dynamic live performances, and their debut album Awakening has won them praise in Classic Rock Society and Powerplay magazines, amongst many.
Formerly called Andonova, After-Math hail from Gloucestershire and have recently taken their music in a more metallic direction.
Other confirmed bands:
- Threshold - UK (headliners – Saturday 2nd April)
- To-Mera - UK
- Toxic Smile – Germany
- Haken – UK
Details of ticket sales will be released very soon.
