AC/DC - 18 February 2009 - Oslo,Norway
by Andrea Chirulescu
First concert of this year's 'Black Ice' tour was held in the new Telenor arena in Oslo, an indoor sports hall with a capacity of about 23.000 people – and it was sold out in a matter of an hour or so.
Considering the tons of snow in the city and the dark nights, they couldn't have picked a better place to start it. Young crowd on average, which made them good customers for those selling blinking devil red horns. This made me feel like I was surrounded by fireflies.
The band, supported by its staff, has offered an awesome and energizing show, with scene settings really fit for the songs. And we didn't miss their famous clichés at all, making the concert very similar to the one held here 8 years ago with the exception of the songs from the new album. And maybe some new settings or movies.

It felt like the band was actually charging their batteries with each note they were playing. Brian Johnson might not have ran the stage like he used to, but still the performance didn't disappoint anyone.
And Angus Young was really explosive making you forget about anyone else on the stage. At the end of the show, he had enough energy to make an impressive solo and spice it up with a lot of acting. He also offered the crowd the chance to see his undies, his stripping abilities or the 'play-guitar-while-on-the- floor' skills. All under the sign of the pleasure of being on stage and performing.
The end impressed due the pyro effects for 'Highway to hell' and 'For those about to rock (we salute you)'. And the salutes were accompanied by cannon shots.
There was an opening band from Ireland, 'The Answer', but all I remember is that it felt as if Ac/DC was warming up a little.
Hardly any complaint about the organizers. At least I managed to catch a bus rather quick and even if crowded, got to get out on my own two feet.
